Lara Jean Covey (Lana Condor) and Peter Kavinksy (Noah Centineo) are back, now as a swoon-worthy couple that are nothing but relationship goals. It’s a perfect blissful epilogue scene as hinted by the ending of To All the Boy’s I’ve Loved Before. Like nothing can dither them away from this new found love and contentment.

That is, until Lara Jean’s former crush and recipient of one of her love letters, John Ambrose McClaren, finally makes his grand entrance. Grease Live alum, Jordan Fisher plays the charming old flame, and he’s here on a mission – Lara Jean. The letter has captivated John Ambrose and thus, a love triangle ensues.

Inspite of Peter and Lara Jean promising to not hurt each other, it looks like heartbreak is only inevitable with how their relationship gets complicated after John Ambrose’s appearance. But can she be in love with two boys at the same time?

Lara’s Jean’s handwritten letters addressed to every crush she’s ever had, had been sent out to their respective recipients without her knowledge. Peter being one of the five, three others made their appearance in the first movie. Her sister, Margot’s ex-boyfriend Josh, Kenny from camp and Lucas, her gay friend who is still hesitant to come out of the closet also received them (although, Kenny’s letter was sent to the camp and they mailed the letter back to her).

The only recipient that didn’t quite respond was John Ambrose McClaren, who we saw only at the end of the first film. Lara Jean’s younger sister, Kitty (who sent out the letters, in the first place), opens the front door to John Ambrose standing on their porch with the infamous letter in hand.

The sequel also stars Anna Cathcart, Janel Parrish, Ross Butler, Madeleine Arthur, Holland Taylor, John Corbett, Sarayu Blue, Emilija Baranc, and Trezzo Mahoro.

To All the Boys: P.S I Still Love You premieres on Netflix on 12 February, 2020.
