Netflix is all set to release Taylor Swift: Miss Americana at the upcoming Sundance Film Festival.
The documentary will give an inside look into the much-loved artist’s life.
The makers of the documentary include remarkable names. It is directed by Emmy winner Lana Wilson and produced by Academy Award winner Morgan Nevill.
As per the official description by Netflix, the documentary is “a raw and emotionally revealing look at one of the most iconic artists of our time during a transformational period in her life as she learns to embrace her role not only as a songwriter and performer but as a woman harnessing the full power of her voice”.
Earlier last month, Swift took to Twitter to unofficially announce the documentary whilst stating other issues.
The singer/songwriter claimed that Big Machine Label Group executives Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta had been stopping her from using her old songs in the documentary.
Additionally, the two men also blocked her from performing on some of her songs at the American Music Awards (AMAs).
Things got uglier as Braun and his family received multiple death threats after Swift posted her statement.

However, she has been cleared from doing all of the above and also took home Artist of the Decade award at the AMAs.
The release date for the documentary on Netflix has not been announced yet. However, attendees of the Sundance Film Festival will get to view it in January 2020.
