Amazon Prime Video India’s popular show The Family Man has been renewed for another season.
The upcoming season will also include breakthrough star from the Tamil and Telugu film industry – Samantha Akkineni.
She stated: “With the digital space booming, I knew I had to be a part of this revolution. What better way to make my digital debut, than with one of India’s most loved series – The Family Man.”
Akkineni has four Filmfare awards to her name and has been part of hits like Eega and Ye Maaya Chesave. The Family Man will mark her debut in the digital space.

However, the new season will also retain its old cast with Manoj Bajpayee in the lead. Bajpayee plays Srikant Tiwari – a middle-class man that also works as a spy for the National Investigation Agency.
Season one of the show revolved around Srikant balancing his job and his wife Suchitra Tiwari (Priyamani) and kids.
As per the makers of the show, Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K., filming for the new season has begun. The two were also behind the popular movie Go Goa Gone.
