The End of the F***ing World season 2 Netflix release date revealed

The show that became a phenomenon and built a cult following with its unconventional characters and storyline, The End of the F***ing World, is set to return with its season 2 on Netflix on November 5.

The show first debuted on Netflix on November 2018 and the show became a massive hit thanks to its dark humour and flawed but lovable characters that were portrayed exceptionally by Jessica Barden and Alex Lawther.

The first season ended with a massive cliffhanger and there may be a few hints on the show’s Instagram handle as to what the second season may hold.

The unveiling of a new character in season 2 to the show has also been confirmed on their Instagram.

The photos show the mysterious Bonnie (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker‘s Naomi Ackie), an outsider with a troubled past and a connection to Alyssa. Notably absent is James (Alex Lawther), whose fate was left uncertain at the end of season one.

Based on the award-winning series of comic books by Charles Forsman (as well as the 2014 short film), The End of the F***ing World follows the adventures of disturbed teenager James (Alex Lawther) who embarks on a road trip with new girl in school Alyssa to find her real father.

The show was not slated to have a second season but due to its overwhelming response, fans began demanding a second season and writer, Charlie Covell, decided to expand the story.

UK fans of the show will be able to view the it much earlier than fans across the pond – The End of the F***ing World season 2 has now been confirmed that the second season will launch on Channel 4 in the UK on Monday, November 4. It will then air two new episodes every night from 10pm until Thursday, November 7.

As for US fans, season 2 of the show will launch on Netflix a day after, i.e., November 5.
