Netflix revealed its newest film venture by dropping the trailer for the film on its YouTube channel on Tuesday, 1 October. The film is directed by Michael Bay and co-stars Dave Franco, Mélanie Laurant, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Corey Hawkins, and Adria Arjona (Good Omens).

As a Bay and Reynolds pack, the film is bound to contain action-packed scenes (that have definitely cost a pretty penny) and true to Bay’s formula of exaggerated pieces – explosions, and lots of it.

Netflix has previously announced its intentions of spending actively more on extensive projects for the streaming service, and 6 Underground happens to have been made with a whopping $150 million as its budget.

The film is written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who’ve previously worked with Reynolds on the Deadpool franchise.

6 Underground is set to release on 13 December, on Netflix worldwide.
