El Corazón de Sergio Ramos: Prime Video documentary on Real Madrid and Spain star

Amazon Prime Video put out the trailer for its original documentary based on Football star Sergio Ramos.

Captain of the Spanish club Real Madrid CF and the Spanish National team, Ramos has had a career full of trophies as well as controversies.

The title translates to “The Heart of Sergio Ramos” as it aims to reveal his true self to the world. The trailer gives a few snippets of his life as a professional footballer and as a dedicated family guy.

“It’s far from easy,” he says. According to him, he is not the Sergio Ramos people see on the field and he’s’ never really opened his doors to anyone.

The trailer reveals that Ramos is passionate about football, music, horses and his family. It also gives a glimpse into his childhood growing up in Spain with a few comments by people close to him.

While speaking to Goal about the documentary, the father of two said: “I’m excited to be able to show football fans what it takes to be a professional athlete, the responsibility of wearing Real Madrid’s and Spain’s armband and how to juggle that with a normal personal life.”

It will also highlight the Spanish National team’s performance at the FIFA World Cup, 2018 in Russia. The former world champions crashed out of the tournament as they lost to the hosts in the round of 16.

The trailer also hints at a focus on Real Madrid’s unfortunate campaign last season in which they failed to win any major trophy.

Ramos also faced some criticism as he was shooting for this documentary at Real Madrid’s stadium while suffering suspension during a Champions League game. To add to the fire, it was the game in which Real Madrid lost to Ajax and crashed out of the tournament.

But keeping the controversies aside, Sergio Ramos has had a lustrous 19-year long career in which he has won every major trophy with club and country. These include 2 Euros, 1 World Cup, 4 Club World Cups, 4 Champions Leagues, 4 La Ligas and 2 Copa Del Reys.

The documentary will be divided into six episodes which will unveil Sergio Ramos’ true life over the course of a year. Check out the trailer below:
