The Morning Show: Trailer out for Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell and Reese Witherspoon starrer

Months after Apple announced the release of the upcoming streaming platform Apple TV+, the company has released a trailer for its one of its debut series called ‘The Morning Show’.

Focused around the popular talk show atmosphere of America, The Morning Show will see a conflict triangle between three news anchors as they fight for the main anchor chair.

After throwing her co-host who is being played by Steve Carell under the bus for an unknown scandal, Jennifer Aniston begins a battle to fend off producers who are set on making sure she is next. Meanwhile, a new entry to the team, Reese Weatherspoon, has her eyes set on the position and will do anything to get it.

The reasons behind the Carell’s firing at the beginning are unclear but strongly hint towards the #Metoo movement which started back in 2017. Whether or not that is true is yet to be seen.

The trailer shows Aniston getting progressively worse as she starts to lose control of her career and eventually makes amends with the friend she ‘betrayed’.

This new drama series seems to be first of many to be released by the upcoming streaming platform. Apple TV+ made waves when it was announced that the upcoming series will star Academy Award-winning celebrities.

Beside The Morning Show, there is For All Mankind: a modern history show based centred on the space race between the American and Russians, which is set to release when the service launches. Apple has seemingly poured a lot of money into productions judging from the popular cast and crew of both the series.

The Morning Show’s release date is unknown currently. However, Apple has stated that it will arrive in fall this year. Meanwhile, check out the trailer:
