Amazon Prime Video’s Rated-R series, The Boys, has premiered and surprised fans with its amazing cast performances and storytelling. It is based on ‘The Boys’ comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.
The plot revolves around a group of regular people working to take down corrupt and selfish superheroes. It stars Karl Urban, Elisabeth Shue, Erin Moriarty, Antony Starr, Dominique McElligott, Chace Crawford and Karen Fukuhara.
The teaser and the trailer were met with a very positive reaction with Twitter declaring it a show to look forward to. Fast forward to July and the show has performed beyond expectations.
Having already been renewed for a second season a week before premiering, the show holds a critic rating of 76% and a user rating of 94% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Twitter has exploded with praise for the show with many already waiting impatiently for season 2.
Scanning Twitter for negative tweets, there literally was not a single one to be found. Developer Eric Kripke, Evan Goldberg, Seth Rogen and everyone involved in the show have outdone themselves and delivered a different yet tasteful show to binge watch for the audience.
