Sujoy Ghosh’s Typewriter gets a positive welcome on Twitter

Sujoy Ghosh’s digital debut series Typewriter has incited positive reactions from fans and media alike. Currently streaming on Netflix, the show is a Goa-based horror story starring Purab Kohli and Palomi Ghosh.

Likewise, most fans admitted to binge-watching the show thanks to the gripping storyline. This involves supernatural elements, a haunted Bardez Villa and a cop investigating everything inexplicable.

The thrilling series that combines elements from Enid Blyton’s work also includes a ‘Ghost Club’ – a trio of children (later joined by a fourth member) that meets every day to discuss all things paranormal.

These children have also managed to create a fan base for themselves with their acting chops.

Additionally, shining names from Bollywood including Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu also took to Twitter to praise and support the show.

The series seems to be doing its job right as audiences are admittedly spooked enough to watch it “during the day”.

However, while the series is receiving love and appreciation, there are some who felt that there was room for improvement.

Typewriter marks Ghosh’s directorial debut in the web entertainment world. He is known for his previously compelling thrillers in Indian cinema such as Badla and Kahaani.

Purab Kohli has been around in digital entertainment as he starred in the Voot Original It’s Not That Simple – a show that revolves around modern-day Indian relationships.
