Ryan Reynolds joins the cast for Red Notice

The upcoming heist film Red Notice that was originally set to be produced by Universal has now been acquired by streaming giant Netflix.

It will be directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, who has previously worked with Johnson on Central Intelligence and Skyscraper.

The film will star Hollywood A-listers including Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot. Ryan Reynolds is the recent addition to this star-studded cast.

Subsequently, Gal Gadot took to update the twitterverse about the same:

Johnson portrays an Interpol agent assigned to capture a notorious art thief. Gadot and Reynolds’ roles are yet to be revealed.

This is Netflix’s most ambitious project till date, with a budget of over $130 million. Red Notice will possibly be the first of Netflix’s many future high profile ventures.

A release date is yet to be decided, although it has been confirmed that the shooting for the film will begin in early 2020.
