Jennifer Winget set to play military lawyer in ALTBalaji’s Code M

Jennifer Winget will play an army officer lead in ALTBalaji and Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming web series Code M, which will also be her digital debut.

Alongside Tanuj Virwani, Winget will be seen as a military lawyer named Monica Mehra in the new courtroom drama. The protagonist is described as clumsy, forgetful, slightly tactless and zesty.

The actress announced the commencement of her journey on the sets of Code M last month on her social media.

In terms of working towards her physical strength for the show, Winget admitted: “Playing Monica is no easy feat, as she being part of the Army required me to work on my fitness as there are a lot of action-packed scenes in the series.”

She added: “Monica is very passionate, she’s the first card-holder, candle-carrier, dog-rescuer, hand-holder on the spot when required.”

Code M revolves around Monica discovering something uncomfortable while investigating cases during a militant encounter.

The web series follows the turn of events after the discovery, as a family gets destroyed and the Indian Army is left shaken.

Known for her role as Maya in the widely popular TV show Beyhadh, Winget has previously worked with Kapoor in Kasautii Zindagii Kay in 2000s.
